University being dumbed down!

Education,

Through my own personal experience through university, I can say that University is becoming more and more about getting enrolments and less about letting students come out with a quality education.

Courses at university have become so much more easier to pass, and this is not bettering New Zealand, it is only producing more people who are averagely suited for jobs at hand and allowing people who should never have been at uni to get through and pass.

Now I’m all for education, but I believe that university should be for rigorous academic study, not for profiteering of universities so that the chancellor of universities can sit in their golden throne.

"My university experience was not what I was expecting. It is turning into a business. The quality is going down and the prices are going up. I've been in a paper, everyone was failing, nobody was learning anything. We all passed, otherwise someone would have found out how awful the paper was, don't want that!"
