yeah, tough one, but cyclists that are enjoying themselves and share the joy, particularly by making eye contact with drivers when the biker rides to the front of the queue at the traffic light, can make a real difference. Don't ride up and give them your back, ride up and give them a smile. unless your pack is big (more than 6) don't stack across the lane in front of them at the light, stay single file until you get through the intersection.

also, giving them a wave through when you want them to pass will ensure everyone is prepared for the passing maneuver, and the drivers get trained up that they can get past, but they first have to think of your safety.

keep it positive, remember it is hard to be a dinosaur, you are pretty exposed on a bike, and you wouldn't want to roll the dice on how well a frustrated dinosaur's brain is going to assess the potential consequences of rash action!
