Team Work and Co-operation

This recession with news and rumours of job losses and business closures, now is the best time to remind ourselves that the best way to overcome hardship is to work together. All problems can provide new opportunities and new ways of getting things done. This online community is a great place to start networking and sharing solutions.
Well done Thinksmall.
Just remember that if one way doesn't work it is not a failure, you have just reached an outcome that didn't meet your needs. Then try another way. Look at what others are doing. Ask around. If you’re in a shop, talk to the managers of the shops around you. How are they doing things and coping? Can you work together in some way? Do your staff have any ideas?
Keep enthusiastic about your business and always remember that people are more important than money. If you can see that an obstacle may present itself in the future, start looking for solutions, opportunities or alternative directions now. Plan ahead, set goals and plan how you are going to reach those goals without hurting others.
We’re all in the same boat so never think that you’re alone. Don’t be afraid to ask.

"I would add working together includes looking at one's sourcing options. Where possible, buying items made here & striving to keep money circulating in the Kiwi economy is better overall than, say, saving several $$ and sending an order overseas."
